LCAR Reaches Milestone in Giving
The Lancaster County Association of Realtors (LCAR) will reach a milestone on Thursday night at their 2019 Annual Banquet when they present Tabor Community Services a check for $30,700 on behalf of TLC, a program of Tabor. This check representing the proceeds from their Annual Charity Dinner and Golf Outing marks 30th years of LCAR’s support for TLC. This contribution is their largest gift to TLC and makes LCAR’s 30 year contributions $503,022.
Mike McKenna, Tabor’s new president said “We value our partnership with LCAR these past 30 years! LCAR has raised an extraordinary half million dollars to support the residents of TLC who are overcoming homelessness. We continue to see a rise in family homelessness. On any given night this past month there were nearly 50 kids staying at TLC. But with LCAR’s support we can help these families and the other men and women that we serve find a home.” Donna Giovingo, Chair of the Community Partnership Committee commented “The committee is thrilled that we raised the most ever this year in honor of our 30th year fundraising for TLC. The dedication the staff has at TLC & Tabor moves us all at LCAR to do more to help end homelessness in Lancaster County. I am excited to be presenting the check at our annual banquet and it sets the bar for us to raise even more for this wonderful organization for 2019! When you witness firsthand the changes TLC makes in all the lives who transition out into a better life it is truly amazing.”
