I began working at Tabor in 2010 as an intern, completing my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Millersville University. Once I completed my degree, I began working as a Rapid Re-Housing For Families case manager. I remained in that position until 2015, when we began to separate the functions of the Rapid Re-Housing case manager and I became a housing location specialist. During this time, I was also working on my Master’s of Social Work degree from Millersville and completing internships at Tabor and the Community Action Partnership. Soon after completing my Master’s program, I began to manage Tabor’s newest initiative, Community Housing Solutions. What I enjoy most about my job is the ability to collaborate and bring together people of differing backgrounds to achieve our goal of ending homelessness. Creating relationships with and working together creatively to solve problems with landlords, clients and other community partners has truly been the highlight of this new position for me. I look forward to growing our partnerships with you as we move forward in creating a system for individuals and families experiencing homelessness to be permanently housed as quickly as possible.
