Financial Workshops

Tabor offers workshops that help individuals improve their personal financial management skills.  All workshops are FREE and open to the public with one topic offered each week at two different times.  All workshops are 90 minutes long and are designed as independent courses which can be taken individually or as a series.


Workshops are taught by volunteers who are local professionals from: Bare Wealth Advisors ∙ Citizens BankEphrata National BankEverence Federal Credit UnionFulton BankMT&T BankNorthwest BankPeoples Bank∙ Santander BankSister Love Christian MinistriesWells Fargo ∙and sometimes by staff of Tabor Community Services.

  • Learn how to create and sustain a household budget that works for them

  • Understand the basics of personal banking

  • Learn effective savings techniques

  • Understand and improve your credit standing

  • Learn how to choose an appropriate loan and to borrow responsibly


We also periodically offer specialized workshops that help participants

learn how to …

  • Prevent identity theft

  • Purchase a vehicle

  • Budget for Christmas

  • Raise financially responsible children

  • Combine cost-saving and conservation methods

*Please note: Sign up for classes 24 hours in advance. Workshops will be canceled if no one is registered 24 hours in advance.

We are also happy to offer our workshop at your place of business

  • If you are a for-profit, the fee is $250 per workshop.

  • If you are a non-profit offering the workshop to your staff or members, the fee is $75 per workshop.

  • If you are a non-profit offering the workshop to your clients, there is no fee.
