Who can benefit from this program?

Women coming directly out of prison and women released from prison within six months may enter the Beth Shalom "House of Peace" Program. Women must be willing to reunite with their children & be open to living in a Christian environment.

 

Who qualifies for this service?

  • Applicants must be referred directly from Lancaster County Prison or have been incarcerated with in the last six months

  • Applicants who are open to living in a Christian environment

  • Applicants must be women over the age of 18 with no more than three children residing with them;male children must be 10 or younger at the time of application, female children must be 12 or younger at the time of application.

  • All applicants must be drug and alcohol free

  • Applicants must be able to live independently and meet all program requirements.

    NOTE: Persons with disabilities or impediments that prohibit eligibility requirements referred to other facilities or service providers who are able to meet their needs.

  • Applicants must be willing to commit to improve their life situation and be able to set concrete and realistic goals towards self-sufficiency.

Procedure: Complete application with case manager at your treatment facility and follow its sending instructions for internet, mail, or fax.

 

Documentation needed at appointment/orientation:
• Completed application
• ID and SS cards for all household residents, if you have it at time of intake
