The Shelter to Independent Living Program (STIL) helps individuals, couples and families experiencing homelessness to find and maintain permanent housing and become self-sufficient through counseling, education and goal setting. Randi Shober, Financial Counselor for The Ann B. Barshinger Financial Empowerment Center for Lancaster County, a program of Tabor Community Services, was recently nominated for NFCC’s 2016 Counselor of the Year as part of their Awards for Excellence. NFCC, also known as the National Foundation for Credit Counseling, Inc., is a nationwide organization of credit counseling agencies that provides certification for counselors, educational curriculum support, and standards of conduct for its member agencies.
