Tammy

As Division Manager for Homeless and Rental Counseling Programs at Tabor, part of my job is to oversee the overall operations of Beth Shalom. I would like to share with you how I have seen the hand of God working recently at Beth Shalom through the lives of God's people. The staff of Beth Shalom and I give thanks are grateful for:

  • Karin White, Women's Chaplain at Lancaster County Prison, who refers women she has identified in the prison who may be ready to open their hearts and lives to God through the Beth Shalom program.
  • The Ladies Prayer Fellowship at Landis Homes who pray faithfully for the women who live in the apartments. I believe prayer is the most powerful weapon we have in providing the women with the needed courage to grow and succeed in their Christian walk.

  • Anna, Millie, Georgia and Ruth who conduct bi-weekly Bible studies with the women.

  • Any other person not mentioned ... but God knows who you are ... who donates time, money and prayers for the work here at Beth Shalom.

Your continued prayers and support are so very much needed in the days ahead as we continue to serve Christ through the ministry of Beth Shalom. Since December 2007, we have ministered to more than 22 women and their children. Some came and went, but we are confident that even if they were not able to stay in the program because they were not quite ready to make the change, that their lives were still touched by God in ways we could not see or measure.

We, as staff of Beth Shalom, will continue to rest in the fact that God wants us to remain faithful, even if we cannot always see the long term effects that the ministry has had on the women that God has brought to us. May God richly bless each of you as you continue to walk by our side in this important ministry.
