Advocate Job Description

Purpose: Represent Beth Shalom to your congregation/group

1. Encourage your congregation and individuals in your congregation to be involved
   in the ministry of Beth Shalom.

2. Encourage your congregation to establish a prayer team for Beth Shalom.

3. Promote Beth Shalom's special events, fundraisers, and other needs

   -Make public announcements
   -Place notices in church bulletins and/or newsletter
   -Distribute/post Beth Shalom materials

4. As part of our program, the women are required to attend life skills classes on the first and fourth Wednesday of every month. Once each year we ask you to find volunteers from your congregation to help with childcare.

5. Suggest Beth Shalom as a speaker source for church groups or events (Sunday school classes, banquets, youth, etc.)

6. Answer questions regarding the ministry of Beth Shalom that your congregation may have.

7. Suggest Beth Shalom to become part of your mission budget or as a possible recipient of an annual offering.
