Position Description:
Tabor Community Services in Lancaster, Pennsylvania is seeking a full-time manager for a new County-wide homeless services Coordinated Assessment (CA) system.
Tabor, a non-profit housing and financial counseling organization that has served Lancaster County for 45 years, provides a comprehensive and integrated array of services and programs designed to help people meet the challenges they face with housing and managing their finances. Tabor assists 4000 client family cases each year.
The Lancaster County Coalition to End Homelessness (LCCEH) has selected and contracted with Tabor to establish and operate a new system in Lancaster County to provide standardized and coordinated assessment and referral services for everyone who is seeking services from the local network of homeless services providers.
The Coordinated Assessment Manager has overall responsibility for the CA System and reports to Tabor’s Vice President for Programs. Specific responsibilities include:
Manage all day-to-day operations of the CA System
Implement the new CA System as described in the CA System proposal
Select, hire, train, and supervise CA System staff
Manage all the processes, procedures, and instruments used in the CA System
Oversee the use of all data systems, including responsibility for data collection, record keeping, outcomes tracking, and other required data reporting
Coordinate directly with Tabor’s subcontracted partners, who provide initial assessment services and maintenance of a housing search database, to deliver seamless and effective program interfacing and client service
Manage communication and system-wide coordination with the organizations and programs of the homeless services continuum – assuring compliance with CA System goals and priorities and leading efforts to resolve problems and conflicts that may arise
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field required; master’s degree in social work or related field preferred
Minimum of three years management experience including supervising staff
Experience with systems coordination involving multiple organizations or entities
Minimum of two years experience providing direct client service with low to moderate income households
Well developed organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to write and communicate professionally
Bilingual in English and Spanish helpful
Ability to represent Tabor in the community
