Partnering Landlord Information

Become a Partnering Landlord

Tabor's Shelter to Independent Living, Rental Counseling to Prevent Homelessness, and transitional housing programs are of special interest to landlords because of the valuable housing and budget services we provide, not only helping you find tenants for your units, but also in maintaining long-term, successful tenants. Becoming a partnering landlord does not in any way obligate you to use our service, but only confirms that you are open to working with Tabor. By becoming a partnering landlord, you can contact us when you have an unoccupied unit to fill or when you have a tenant who needs budget counseling services in order to keep the rent paid. This partnership would allow us to add you to our list of over 300 local landlords. This information is not given to the tenants, but would be kept for in-house use only.

Programs that work with Partnering Landlords

Lancaster city

  • We assist any tenants you presently have and would like to keep that are in danger eviction because of late rent payments. Early intervention is the key in this program. This program provides an average of 4-8 months of housing counseling supportive services.

  • We assist city and county families in obtaining permanent housing. If you have an available unit and are interested in considering one of these families, please fill out the short form below. If we have a family that may be a fit for your rental unit, you will receive a call from one of our four rental counselors. This program provides 6-12 months of housing counseling supportive services.

  • Beth Shalom, Jubilee House, Transitional Living Center (TLC)
These programs provide transitional housing & supportive services to those experiencing homelessness. Each household is assigned a caseworker that works one-on-one with the residents to develop a plan for permanent housing. Once a resident enters the program, budgeting and savings are immediate. Residents become informed on topics such as Landlord Rights and Responsibilities, Budgeting and other related items to become successful in their permanent housing through our Life Skills classes. When residents are placed in permanent housing, supportive services are discontinued unless the residents are in the STIL program (see description above). Staff can provide a landlord reference letter concerning their stay in the program.
