However, we can't do it alone. Tabor relies on the generosity of individuals, businesses, churches, foundations and other organizations for financial support. Would you be willing to support Tabor? You will receive a quarterly newsletter called Tabor Talk and after the end of the year a comprehensive annual report describing the outcomes of each program and stories of client successes. What is Electronic Fund Transfer? Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) is a time-saving way for you to contribute to Tabor Community Services. EFT is an automatic transfer program which allows you to make contributions without writing checks. Once you authorize the transfer, your specified contribution is electronically transferred directly from your checking or savings account to Tabor's account on the date you set. Your bank statement then gives you an itemized list of electronic transfers. You may ask, "Is EFT risky?" Electronic contributions are less risky than check contributions. It can't be lost, stolen or destroyed in the mail, and it has an extremely high rate of accuracy. And… you save a stamp to mail your check! Why contribute in this way? This is what Tabor's first Electronic Fund Transfer participant, Michael Sprunger has to say. "There have been missed opportunities for me to give as I have, on occasion, forgotten to pick up and complete donation return forms. So, when the opportunity arose to take advantage of this new service, I jumped at it. Now, I know that each month a small amount is taken out toward a larger pledge I have made to Tabor. It really is a painless way to make sure that the organization receives the funds that it needs and I can afford to give." A Way for Businesses to Give Corporate Contributions in return for State Tax Credits NAP (Neighborhood Assistance Program) is a state program that offers tax credits to agencies like Tabor. These tax credits are then issued by Tabor to corporations like yours in return for financial contributions. Each year Tabor is allotted a certain amount of tax credits by the state. Tabor then raises funds from corporations like yours to help hard-working, low-income families purchase their first home and to help homeless families get back into housing and begin rebuilding their lives. Corporations receive tax credits in return for their contribution to Tabor. NAP tax credits allow corporations like yours to keep your tax dollars here in Lancaster County, helping to build a better community. You can feel good that Tabor will wisely and prudently use your tax and contributed dollars to help families in need. What You Save in Tax Dollars NAP contribution credits can be applied to the following taxes Corporate net income tax
* Federal deduction may be between
15% to 39%, based on your corporate taxable income or, if you have
a Sub S Corp it would be based on your personal taxable income.
Since federal contribution deduction rates vary per corporation
type, profitability, and level of overall contributions, your tax
accountant would be the only qualified individual to accurately
